Hey, I didnt know what a Portuguese warship looked like until u mentioned it and i googled it up XD;;;;; I'm guessing your uncle compared u to one because the frills resemble the sails?

Hehe it's funny how contrasting Phuimun described ur outing together that day (how u compared her to emo kids who listen to emo rock with black painted nails) as opposed to ur frilly comic description XD;;;

LOL there was lots of aspects to that outing! We don't just talk about ONE thing in what is like, a whole day excursion?

Hahahah and that emo kid thing, how it goes was - I was saying how the emo kids were dressing in one way and listening to (emo) rock songs and painting their nails black to look ...all emo, and it dawned on both of us that PM likes to do the same thing (minus the emo-ness, plus I told her she paints white patterns on her black nails so that's not emo! Wakkakkaa)

as opposed to ur frilly comic description XD;;;

just realised this, my brain is not working hahaha

it's a comic of my own personal experience as a kid wearing frilly dress, brought on after seeing a shop of frilly little girl's dress (which not the main point of the story)? so it's not a comic about an outing filled with frilly stuff? unless my drawing is so rambling that people just don't get it... oh noooesss

Oh dear, sorry I must've confused u =_= But no worries. I did get that ur comic is about ur experiences with frilly dresses. I was trying to say it was hilarious to read phuimun's entry and then reading urs. U know, how contrasting she mentioned goth kids and u mentioned frilly kids haha

kids dressed to the nines in high heels(!!!) are a bane. What the hell are the parents thinking??!

Did you know I have a colleague whose daughter tak ambik UPSR lagi but she has MySpace? And the best part is her MySpace account got hijacked, and the hacker used it to post porn and such and my colleague asked if they could report it to OUR police? *slaps forehead*

I have no idea. Apparently she uses it to chat... what do pre-teens need the internet to chat about? Jumpa kat sekolah pun dah cukup, IMHO.

I dunno lar. The incident happened moons ago. This is why reputable places like yahoo mail have an age limit. MySpace doesn't (I checked their TOS).

My Mum told me I can go to kindergarten every single day of the month in frilly dresses and she still wouldn't have to recycle any that had been worn prior XDD Yeah apparently I lived in them too as a kid :3 My favourite is the one with loads of subtle colours and layers and tulle because it makes me looks like a fairy

LOL anyway to clear the confusion from Jeff's comments, he was talking about my entry here XD;;

If you don't have at least a few frilly dresses while growing up as a little girl in the 80s memang tak sah okay.

And I agree with you - I don't like seeing little girls nowadays dressed up as mini-sluts T_T Barang pun tak ada, some more mau tayang.

Oooh... blackmail photos of bro! And... Portuguese warship - LOL.

If you see the pink frilly dresses on grown women, even cute ones (like all Japanese lolita style), it seems kind of weird. Though sometimes it does look really cute too.

You should do more sketchbook diary stuff. I like it. :) Have fun in NYC! Be sure to say hi to [info]rufftoon!!

yes, those are indeed blackmail photos XD He still gets really pissed whenever I mentioned them!

I guess it depends on how the women wear it? Those kinda dresses looks really good on petite, childlike women, but sometimes there're also cases where tall ladies wear them really well. I don't know, it's pretty subjective I guess.

I'll do more of these things when I'm not too lazy hahaha. Well I'm back from NYC now! and I did too say hie to rufftoon! She's like the nicest person ever T___T

ROFL Portugese warship! 8DDD Are you sure he didn't mean this instead?

(It's a Portugese Man-O-War a.k.a Most-Poisonous-Jellyfish-That-You-Shouldn't-Even-Think-About-Touching 8DDD)

Interestingly I really liked the frilly dresses I owned and wore back in my childhood days. Mine had some Victorian-ish flowers (hence my love for Victorian-styled dresses <3)
I can snap some photos if you'd like to see them :3

ya know, thinking back it might have just been that with all the frills and bulbous bits XDDDD

I love love love those old frilly dresses :) I still kept some of them (it's painful to see them given away!) And yes I'd love to see photos of your childhood dresses. The victorian flowers sounds really interesting!
